Last 29 of september of 2011, D. Jesús Hidalgo Carrillo, defended his PhD entitled "Supported platinum systems applied to selective hydrogenation and photooxidation", marked with 'SOBRESALIENTE CUM LAUDE'. SUPERVISORS Dr. Francisco J. Urbano Navarro Dr. Alberto Marinas Aramendía ABSTRACT The chemoselective reduction of α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compounds over supported platinum catalysts was studied from the point of view of the selectivity to the unsturated alcohol. On the other hand, the gas-phase selective photooxidation of 2-propanol to acetone was studied as model reaction to evaluate the properties of photocatalysts. | |

The PHD grade is a great honour to the scientist. A first step to success. It is a best reward for a man of sciense - to get the phd!
